Tiger Woods’ Apology Accepted!

Tiger Woods has stood tall and confronted himself as a man who made the biggest mistake of his life. Before the apology, no one knew what to expect or what he was going to say. We can agree that he really put his best foot forward and stepped up to the plate and confronted his own demon. He did so in flying colors too!

It was indeed a heart-felt apology, no one can say otherwise. His true acclamation of a great person was reclaimed in the eyes of many. Tiger Woods really didn’t have to stand on the podium and talk to anyone. First and foremost, his transgressions are totally between him and his family, but he took the time to speak to us, his fans and well-wishers and a few critics thrown in.

The act of him apologizing showed a lot of courage, something that he should be commended for. The Tiger Woods apology speech was not a lame attempt to lie to the public, but one that was honest and deeply sincere.

Tiger was just succumbed to the weakness of all men when it comes to beautiful women as a result of his celebrity status and a lack of experience in dealing with such temptations.

It seems as if Tiger Woods was hurting from the loss of his father, who was such an intricate part of his life and golf success as a young man growing up. Many times male children find it very difficult to cope with the loss of a parent in their early lives especially a male parent. Michael Jordan went through a similar episode of his life when he lost his father.

All of a sudden Jordan wanted to leave the game he so dearly loved and go off to play baseball. It was during this time that rumors were circulating that he had a gambling problem. Well, Tiger Woods didn’t choose to gamble or leave golf to play baseball, he acted out his psychological suffering by doing the one thing that his mom had told him not to do—disrespect himself and everyone around him.

Tiger Woods’ mother taught him the principles of Buddhism, teachings that forbid things that he ended up doing. All this occurred because Tiger found himself alone, no father-figure around with the guts to tell him to stop, no experience in dealing with fame, and no one to remind him that power is a privilege and if abused, can be taken away at moment’s notice.

Well, Tiger, we feel your pain, and most of us are here to support you one hundred percent of the way! You are only human after all, the super human variety of course, but nevertheless, still human. Your apology has been accepted!

We should now move on and use the Tiger Woods story as a learning lesson in our own lives. Now is not the time to criticize, but the time to rebuild the relationship we once had with the greatest golfer ever lived, Tiger Woods!
