All over cable news stations is the story about Tiger Woods car accident. Apparently they are making a huge "investigation" out of it in an effort by the police to show that "celebrities aren't special"... I hate it when they do this because they are in fact doing exactly the opposite... they are putting these people under an enormous magnifying glass and trying to nit pick every detail of their lives.

Some people believe that Tiger Woods car accident is the result of him being high on oxycontin which he got addicted to after his knee surgeries. This could be the reason for the car crash as he could have nodded off or been distracted. However, this is not the prevailing theory at the moment.

Somebody smashed Tigers rear windshield out. The REAL story is that his wife found out about his affair with Tiger Woods mistress Rachel Uchitel, and chased him out of the house with a golf club. Apparently before he was chased out of the house with this golf club, he was struck by it. How ironic. Apparently, Tiger struggled to get in the car as she chased him with the golf club, and she smashed out his rear windshield. In an attempt by Tiger to not be killed by his wife, he told her that he had been hurt after he crashed his car into a fire hydrant.

I don't know who to believe! Some people are saying that Tiger Woods was drunk driving when he had his car accident, which explains why it looks so sketchy. The thing that is irritating to me though is that the police are opening an investigation into it. They are trying to draw attention to themselves by doing this. I have to ask you though, is Tiger Woods trying to hide something from the police? The magazine reports the two hooked up as recently as Oct. 23, when Woods was in Las Vegas.

Even worse for the golf great, she claims to have voicemails and text messages that will only bolster her claims of an affair. Us even has one of the voicemails, in which Tiger tells Grubbs: ""I need you to do me a huge favor. Can you please take your name off your phone? My wife went through my phone and may be calling you."

How She 'Knew' Tiger: Though she's denied all reports of a fling with Tiger, Rachel Uchitel was the first and most prominent woman in the mix (aside from Tiger's wife Elin). Days before the car crash, the National Enquirer linked Uchitel to Tiger, with a source saying that Uchitel bragged about their trysts. Also, according to RadarOnline, Woods paid for Uchitel to meet him in Australia this month -- a trip she recently claimed was mere coincidence.

How She 'Knew' Tiger: Elin and Tiger have been married since 2004, and up until last week, led a relatively quiet life despite Tiger's massive fame. We're guessing she's sitting back and waiting for the storm to die down, and then she will assess the situation along with Tiger. We just hope it winds up happier and nicer than the last few days have played out.

Last night the couple were holed up in their current home on the gated Florida estate where Woods was injured last Friday after crashing his car, after his wife had allegedly gone for him with a golf club after magazine claims about his adultery.
Significantly, the one other person to whom he has chosen to confide all the details of his current travails is his mother Tida who is said by friends to have been constantly on the phone to her only son from her home 2,500 miles away in California.
Which is an added source of discontent to Elin, sources close to the family told me, because a bitter rift has emerged between the two women which, in part at least, has been responsible for bringing the marriage to breaking point.
In a vivid illustration of the enmity that exists between them, Elin is said to have 'freaked out' when Tiger's Thai-born mother demanded her son build a house for her next to his new mansion.
It was the pushy Tida, 69, who won the day, but not before Elin made her own set of demands.

She is said to have insisted her mother-in-law's new home be constructed on land separated by a stretch of water from the mansion she will occupy with Tiger and their children, daughter Sam, two, and ten-month-old son Charlie.
And sources in the U.S. say that Stockholm-born Elin, who has taken close charge of the building of the new house - due to be completed early next year - has refused to have any involvement in the planning of Tida's accommodation.
'It's well known in the golf world that Tida and Elin don't get on,' says one who has travelled on the pro tour for many years.
'Tida is a formidable women and frightens the wits out of everyone, including her son. Elin is almost equally feisty. Tiger is often piggy-in-the-middle.'

Meanwhile, just to add to the animosity between them, Elin has accused Tida of turning a blind eye to her son's alleged liasons with Miss Uchitel, who is reported to have conducted a clandestine affair with Woods since June.
Crucially, when the golfer and nightclub events manager Miss Uchitel are said to have met up behind his wife's back in Melbourne last month, while Woods was playing in the Australian Masters, his mother was also part of his entourage.

Sources say Woods even joked that Tida, who was raised in poverty close to Bangkok before marrying Woods' black American father Earl, had been 'hammering his credit card' in swish Melbourne restaurants Nobu and Rockpool, while he is said to have been entertaining the well-bred Miss Uchitel in his 35th floor suite of the city's exclusive Crown Towers hotel.
It is, perhaps, an indication of how much Woods is in thrall to his mother - who has taken over the mantle of his mentor since the death of his father three years ago - that after the tournament it was Tida who was flown in her son's private jet back to America.
Tiger, himself, was forced to 'slum it' in the first-class section of an Emirates passenger plane as he headed to another event in Dubai.
The source added: 'Elin is beside herself with anger because she can't believe that her mother-inlaw did not know that Tiger was running round with this other women when it was right under her nose.'
Elin has not been seen with her husband at a golf event for two months. Insiders have also revealed that the temperamental Miss Nordegren, the daughter of a former Swedish cabinet minister, was involved in an embarrassing scene with Woods when he played at the British Open in July.
He was said to have been playing up to his usual world-beating standard at the tournament at Turnberry, Ayrshire, until Elin arrived and demanded to know what he had been up to.
After her arrival, a clearly riled Woods, who at one point flung his club down in disgust after missing yet another shot, missed the halfway cut of a major event for only the second time in his career.
It had been his protective mother Tida who had counselled him against marriage. After Tiger found fame and money as a teenager, she would take calls from the string of hopeful young women phoning their California home and hiss 'gold diggers! gold diggers!'
Later, his parents were accused of demanding her son write a letter to his first girlfriend, High School sweetheart Dina Gravell, to call off their relationship because Tida thought she was distracting Tiger from his game.
As if the fractured relationship between his battling mother and wife is not enough to contend with, the golfer's management team were last night reported to have gone into 'panic mode' over the damage to his multi-million-dollar 'Mr Clean' brand.
Wood's management company IMG were said to be locked in negotiations with a string of corporate sponsors, including Nike, Buick, watch firm Tag Heuer and phone company AT&T, who last year accounted for the bulk of his £66million earnings.
Industry sources say that despite a partial vote of confidence from Gillette - the razor company which pays Woods a reported £12million a year - is considering dumping him from their campaigns.
Jason Maloni, an expert in sports and entertainment marketing based in Washington DC, told me last night: 'Tiger is probably losing money already, and Gillette is his biggest problem. No firm that sells razors wants to be associated with someone who has scratches all over his face.
'He needs his wife to come out and support him publicly. Until she does, the speculation and the damage to his reputation will continue.'
No wonder the repentant Tiger is apparently so willing to cave into the demands of his betrayed wife. It might just be the only way to save his own skin.

TIGER WOODS AFFAIR: WHY NICE GUYS CHEAT

By now you've probably heard the sordid details of Tiger Woods alleged affairs with cocktail waitress Jamiee Grubbs, New York city nightclub hostess Rachel Uchitel, and Las Vegas party planner Kalika Moquin.

The scandal comes as a bit of a surprise to his many fans, especially considering his squeaky-clean image.

Here are details so far, in case you missed anything:

On November 27, Tiger crashed his Cadillac Escalade outside his Florida home.  There have been a number of reports that Tiger and his wife Elin were arguing over a text message.  There has also been some speculation as to whether Elin bashed out Tiger's car window with a golf club to "rescue" him from his car as has been claimed, or was, er, bashing his window with a golf club for some other reason.

Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik introduced Tiger Woods to his wife Elin Nordegren in 2001,  while she was working for Parnevik's family as an au pair, "We probably thought he was a better guy than he is. I probably would have to apologize to her and hope she uses a driver next time rather than a three-iron, I would say."

Why do (seemingly) nice guys cheat?

Cheaters usually fall into two categories:  Those who are always looking for opportunities to cheat (serial cheaters) and those who find themselves with an opportunity to cheat and make a bad decision. (Unintended cheaters.)

Serial cheaters usually use sex as a sort of emotional band-aid to make themselves feel better about insecurities, growing older, depression, and for thrill-seeking, among other things.  Serial cheaters seek out opportunities for sex - think ESPN's Steve Phillips.

Unintended cheaters generally make a bad decision when presented with an opportunity to cheat, but don't seek out the opportunity.  This is the kind of person who sleeps with a coworker after an out of town conference following a rough month, or a difficult life change.

And once that horse is out of the starting gate, all bets are off.

So what does that make Tiger Woods?

At this point, it's hard to tell.  On the "Unintentional Cheater" side of the argument, Tiger had a lot of things on his plate back in early 2007 when Grubbs claims they began their affair:

First, he'd lived for a couple of decades under the intense pressure of perfection.  Despite the fact that he has been in the media spotlight for a very long time, he's never really had a screw-up.  And he is, after all, a human being.  None of us can sustain perfection indefinitely.

Second, Tiger's father, by many accounts his north star, died in 2006 after a bout with cancer.

Finally, Tiger's wife Elin was very pregnant with their first child Sam when the alleged affair began.  Sleazy?  Yes.  But is it unheard of for a guy to freak out when his wife gets pregnant, whether at the prospect of a permanent relationship, or terror of the responsibility of becoming a father?  Nope.  In fact, it happens with astounding frequency.

On the "Serial Cheater" side of the argument, if in fact Woods did have relationships with the three women, Jamiee Grubbs, New York city nightclub hostess Rachel Uchitel, and Las Vegas party planner Kalika Moquin, or more -- it wouldn't be a shock to learn there are even more women who have not yet come forward.

Once might be an accident.  Three times is usually a habit.

A voicemail obtained by US MAGAZINE has been circulating the Internet:

"Hey, it's Tiger.  I need you to do me a huge favor. Can you please take your name off your phone? My wife went through my phone and may be calling you. So if you can, please take your name off that. Just have it as a number on the voicemail. You got to do this for me. Huge. Quickly. Bye."

Can a couple move forward after one of them has an affair?

Only time will tell. The details of these alleged relationships are still coming to light, and it's pretty obvious that Tiger and Elin will have a lot of challenges in putting their relationship back together if that's what they choose to do.  There are a couple of good signs early on -- first, Tiger chose to protect his wife, instead of himself, when rumors were swirling around about the golf club/Escalade fiasco.  Second, Yahoo Sports reports that the couple is now seeing a therapist several times a day and that Elin not only received an immediate $5 million dollar payout, she also gained somewhere in the neighborhood of $55 million dollars in a pre-nup revision.  In exchange, she has to stick around for a couple more years and keep mum about her story.

Why stick around?

Maybe, just maybe, Elin wants to keep her family together.  And maybe, just maybe, Tiger has had a wake-up call, and realizes all he's been risking.

And if nothing else,  $55 million and two young children is a pretty good incentive to give couples therapy a try.

For many people, cheating is a deal breaker.  And the truth is, if they have any chance of getting through this, Tiger is going to have to own up to what he's done with his wife and take responsibility for all of her hurt and anger around it.

And judging from his history, he might want to steer clear of nightclubs.

Fickle Accenture ends Tiger Woods sponsorship

While longtime sponsors are sticking with Tiger Woods, however, this situation has changed. Global consulting firm Accenture Ltd. has ended its relationship with Tiger Woods, marking the first major sponsor to cut ties altogether with the golfer since his alleged infidelities surfaced and he announced an indefinite leave from the sport to work on his marriage.

Accenture's move ends a six-year relationship during which the firm credited its "Go on, be a Tiger" campaign with boosting its image significantly. Accenture has used Woods to personify its claimed attributes of integrity and high performance.

"After careful consideration and analysis, the company has determined that he is no longer the right representative for its advertising," Accenture said, adding that "it wishes only the best for Tiger Woods and his family."

The firm plans to immediately transition to a new advertising campaign, with a major effort scheduled to launch later in 2010. An Accenture spokeswoman declined to comment further. Advertising firm Young & Rubicam, which has handled the company's Tiger Woods ads, also would not comment on the move.

Accenture's advertising campaign was almost entirely built around Tiger Woods and his success, portraying his ability to key putt or chip out of the rough. If Woods had acknowledged mistakes and said he would be back in a month, Accenture might be able to ride it out, said Rick Burton, a professor of sports management at Syracuse University, in an interview. But the fact is Accenture can't afford to wait for what could be a long time before Woods returns.

Accenture has been title sponsor since 2001 of the Match Play Championship, a lucrative World Golf Championship event that draws the top 64 players from the world ranking. Accenture earlier this year renewed its sponsorship of the tournament through 2014. The contract is separate from its business endorsement with Woods.

While not terminating their relationship completely, another major Woods sponsor pulled away this weekend. On Saturday, Gillette, which uses the slogan "The best a man can get," said it won't air advertisements featuring Woods or include him in public appearances for an unspecified amount of time. Woods was hired by Gillette in 2007 and has been in ads for Gillette Fusion Power razors with titles like "Phenom" and "Champions" with other stars including tennis great Roger Federer and soccer player Thierry Henry.

However, other sponsors continue to stick with Woods for the time being.

Electronic Arts, whose EA Sports division has been selling Tiger Woods video golf games for a decade, said Sunday, "We respect that this is a very difficult, and private, situation for Tiger and his family. At this time, the strategy for our Tiger Woods PGA TOUR business remains unchanged." The game's next edition featuring Woods comes out in six months.

AT&T said Sunday it continues to evaluate its relationship with the golfer. Watch maker Tag Heuer did not return a call Sunday, but its Web site continues to display photos of Woods' wearing the Link and Golf Watch models.

Nike Inc. said late Friday it supports Woods' decision to take time off. Gatorade, a unit of PepsiCo Inc., said previously it supports Woods.

"That's when I knew this was serious, and not just another joke," Stewart Cink said on Saturday. "I didn't really have a reaction. I really wasn't surprised. It's probably the right thing for him to do."
The ramifications for Woods and his sport began to unfold on Saturday. One of his sponsors, Gillette, said it won't feature the world's richest athlete in its marketing campaign while Woods takes time off to repair his personal life.

 

He has been married to Elin Nordegren for five years, and they have a two-year-old daughter and a ten-month-old son.

 

"This is supporting his desire to step out of the public eye and we're going to support him by helping him to take a lower profile," Gillette spokesman Damon Jones said.

 

Such a move will be far more difficult for the US PGA Tour. Woods has been the face of golf for more than a decade, and the sport had no trouble pitching its squeaky-clean image behind a star who had avoided even a hint of scandal. Woods' world has imploded over the last two weeks, however, with lurid tales from alleged mistresses and Woods admitting to the "disappointment and hurt" his infidelity caused so many, starting with his family.

 

"It's probably damaged the game to a degree," Greg Norman, golf's biggest draw in the generation before Woods, said at his Shark Shootout in Naples, Florida. "I get texts from family members whose kids idolise Tiger, and they don't want to tell them because they don't want to pollute their minds with what's happened."

 

While many questions remain about exactly what did happen – over the course of Woods' marriage and the 27 November car crash just outside his home – his decision on Friday to take an "indefinite break" from golf has fans and his colleagues buzzing about when or if he'll return.

 

"It's a scary vision, a very scary vision," Ryder Cup player Graeme McDowell said. "We're under no illusions. We're much more prosperous golfers for having Tiger Woods playing in our era."

 

No one knows how long Woods will be gone. Everyone does know Woods' absence will be costly.

 

A year ago, he missed eight monthswhile recovering from reconstructive knee surgery.

 

"Just the absence itself, we've been through that," Cink said. "I don't think it's any rocket science in saying him not being involved in golf for a while is going to hurt (TV) ratings. No one can take the place of Tiger Woods out there."

 

The US PGA Tour already has 33 tournaments scheduled for US network television in 2010, with ten more on the Golf Channel. When Woods was out with his knee injury, ratings typically plunged 50 per cent.

 

The ratings Woods attracted is what helped the tour negotiate blockbuster deals with the networks that allowed prize-money to quadruple since he arrived. Most believe ratings won't suffer from Woods' image being tarnished, and might even improve whenever he does return because of all the publicity.

 

 "I don't think Tiger is going to come back earlier because we need him to come back. He's going to come back when he fixes his problems," Brad Faxon said. "It's a bit of a worry, but like Greg (Norman) said the other night, nobody's bigger than the game. You could put, 'comma, except for Tiger' in a lot of situations. But we will survive this."

 

Former CBS Sports president Neal Pilson said the networks' loss in revenue will be much less severe than the drop in ratings. He said companies that advertise around golf are attracted by the demographics of the sport's core fans. Most of those fans watch golf whether Woods is involved or not. The casual fans who tune in only when Woods is in contention aren't the viewers these advertisers are targeting. "While you may have a 50 per cent increase in viewership, a lot of that 50 per cent is just bonus," he added.

 

Even so, these are uncertain times.

 

Woods taking an indefinite leave could mean reduced visibility in advertising, especially if more sponsors take Gillette's lead.

 

"I think that this probably is a win-win for his sponsors who were trying to figure out how they were going to manage their relationship with Tiger given the substantial and significant fall from grace," sports attorney David Cornwell said. "By absenting himself from the public arena, it gives them a chance to pull back and gives everybody a chance to take a deep breath."

 

Some sponsors, such as Nike, are still sticking with Woods,pledging "full support" while waiting for his return.

 

"We need him out here," said Mark Calcavecchia. "What he's done for our tour and the game of golf over the last 13 years is unparalleled, really. So we'll see how long it takes and whenever he's ready, he'll come back. Hopefully, he'll have smooth sailing and he'll be better than ever."

We can agree that he really put his best foot forward and stepped up to the plate and confronted his own demon. He did so in flying colors too!

It was indeed a heart-felt apology, no one can say otherwise. His true acclamation of a great person was reclaimed in the eyes of many. Tiger Woods really didn’t have to stand on the podium and talk to anyone. First and foremost, his transgressions are totally between him and his family, but he took the time to speak to us, his fans and well-wishers and a few critics thrown in.

The act of him apologizing showed a lot of courage, something that he should be commended for. The Tiger Woods apology speech was not a lame attempt to lie to the public, but one that was honest and deeply sincere.

Tiger was just succumbed to the weakness of all men when it comes to beautiful women as a result of his celebrity status and a lack of experience in dealing with such temptations.

It seems as if Tiger Woods was hurting from the loss of his father, who was such an intricate part of his life and golf success as a young man growing up. Many times male children find it very difficult to cope with the loss of a parent in their early lives especially a male parent. This past month has not been the greatest time of best-golfer-on-the-planet Tiger Woods. Not too long ago raunchy tabloid magazine The National Inquirer paid a woman named Ashley Sampson $25,000 for a story about Tiger Woods Mistress Rachel Uchitel. However, Uchitel, a sexy New York city VIP party hostess, denied they so much as exchanged text messages, and that she had met the Tiger but that's about it. The rumor said that the two were together recently in Melbourne for the Australian Masters where Tiger probably won ten trophies with one putt. However, all parties denied this was true.

Fast forward two days later, and for some reason at 2:25 AM Tiger Woods was found laying in the street nodding in and out of consciousness by the police. APPARENTLY, in the 911 recording you can hear Elin running out to see what happened, which would effectively crush rumors that she had in fact chased him out of the house with a golf club in furious irony.

The rumor said that after Tiger Woods hottie wife Elin Nordegrin (an swedish model) found out about Tiger Woods mistress Rachel Uchitel, she scratched up his face, chased him out of the house with a golf club, and as he tried to escape backing out of the driveway in his Cadliac Escalade, she smashed the rear windshield with a golf club. This is possible since the front end of his car got mangled and he might not have been able to open the doors.

Another monkey wrench however: police said alcohol was NOT a factor.. and for some reason woods was leaving the house in a hurry at 2:25 am. Rumors have it that Tiger got addicted to the narcotic pain killer Oxycontin from his recent knee surgery, and that explains the "nodding in and out of consciousness" without alcohol involved when the police found him.

Augusta may still be lazily touted as Woods' playground but the bottom line is that in his last seven Masters starts he's won just once. Hardly an era of dominance is it. With it being his first major since all hell broke loose in his private life there will be massive focus on Woods so all in all I'd be looking to oppose him at that price. As for the 12/1 about missing the cut? A worst finish of 22nd in the 13 times he's played there as a pro suggests it's one to swerve at this stage.

Verdict: It's still hard to fathom how any player could win a major by 15 shots but Tiger did just that at Pebble in 2000 while he produced a different kind of magic - coming back from seven behind with seven to play - to win the US Tour event at the same venue earlier that year. Since blitzing the field by 15, Woods has proved mortal in two subsequent visits to Pebble, finishing 13th in 2001 and 12th in 2002 in the regular US Tour event played there. However, Woods has never enjoyed the bumpy poa annua greens at Pebble in early season and that's why he's kept the event off his schedule since 2002. June is a different matter though and he was ranked T6th in putting when lapping the field in 2000 (he also hit seven more greens than anyone else). Currently Woods is the same price to win at Pebble as he is to win at Augusta. I much prefer to back him here.

Sitting at home watching TV is definitely not in Tiger Woods’ plans. In fact, the fact that he has nothing to do will cause him to get into more trouble with other beautiful women.

Therefore, Tiger Woods should not quit golf because his wife said so; however, he should take his wife Elin with him everywhere he goes to play golf. This is what he should have been doing in the first place, anyway. While with his wife on golf tours, Tiger should behave himself and not look at other ladies in the crowd. Elin will be standing right next to him, even when he is making puts and birdies! She may even become his caddie, who knows. She is the boss from now on, so whatever she says, is law!

There have been many speculations that Elin is seeking a divorce, but there is no truth to that as yet, even though there would be no surprise if she does seek one. No one would be able to blame Elin if she does seek a divorce from Tiger. She has been humiliated enough in the media, hearing about all those other women. According to sources, people are already waging bets that the two will part ways. Elin didn’t help to thwart speculations about her leaving for good either. She was seen moving out of the couple’s million dollar mansion. Rumor has it that Elin is moving back to Sweden with the kids and leaving Tiger behind.

Sometimes it seems that a certain sector of society would love to see the two split up for good; while another sector of society would rather see them stay together. The sector that would like to see the two separate is most likely consist of people who are more interested in the excitement and the entertainment that would follow such occurrence. One could say that this sector doesn’t really care about the relationship one way or another; they only care about the story and the buzzing that such story would have. Born Eldrick Tont Woods on December 30, 1975, in Cypress, California, USA, as the only child of an African-American Army officer father and a Taiwanese mother. His father began calling Woods by the nickname "Tiger" in honor of a fellow soldier and friend who had the same moniker.

The next season was marked by many wins personally and professionally. His wife gave birth to the couple's first child, Sam Alexis Woods, in June, 2007. After taking some time off to welcome his daughter, he won the US PGA Championship and the World Golf Championship in August 2007.

The next month, Woods' winning ways continued, garnering the top spot at the BMW Championship and The Tour Championship. He was named Player of the Year by the other participants in the PGA Tour and won his eighth Arnold Palmer Award for being the lead money earner on the tour.

But on the final hole, Woods birdied while Mediate shot par, forcing the sudden death playoff."I think this is probably the best ever," Woods said. "All things considered, I don't know how I ended up in this position, to be honest with you." The victory gave Woods his third U.S. Open championship and 14th major title. He's now just four behind the all-time record held by Jack Nicklaus.

Three days later, Woods announced he would miss the rest of the season because his left knee requires more reconstructive surgery. He also revealed he suffered a double stress fracture in his left tibia two weeks before the U.S. Open tournament, ignoring doctors' advice to take six weeks off to let it heal.

Woods and his wife announced September 2, 2008, that they were expecting their second child in late winter. "Elin is feeling great and we are both thrilled," Woods said on his Web site. "While my injury has been disappointing and frustrating, it has allowed me to spend a lot of time watching Sam grow. Woods suffered facial lacerations in a car accident outside his Florida home at around 2:25 am Friday — and some reports suggest that he and wife Elin Nordegren had been arguing about the infidelity headlines, potentially leading to his accident.

Tiger Woods Affair Rachel Uchitel, became a major story on Wednesday, when rumors that the 34-year-old was having an affair with Tiger Woods began to circulate. The rumors have picked up steam after the circumstances surrounding Woods’ car accident.

TMZ has confirmed that FHP troopers are seizing Tiger's medical records to see if his injuries look like they came from a domestic dispute or an accident.

Unfortunately for the family... everything will come out in the end. It's not public interest for this dispute to be resolved.

Rachel insists she is not involved with Tiger:

"I did not have any involvement with him [Woods]. Whatever was written in the Enquirer was not said by me, it was said by two people that claimed they were friends of mine but they're not," the 34-year-old said.

"I am overwhelmed, so I hired [celebrity attorney] Gloria Allred to handle the situation. I don't want to get this much attention and I wish everybody would leave me alone."

You would have to have been living under a rock for the past week to not know about this whole "Tiger Woods Scandal". It all started when Tiger mysteriously crashed his car at 2 in the morning outside his $2.5 million Orlando mansion. Sources said that he had been fighting with his wife over Tiger Woods Mistress Rachel Uchitel when she chased him out of the house with a golf club, scratched up his face, smashed in his windshield, and caused him to crash and burn. Now, another woman is coming forward saying she did have a relationship with Tiger: Jamie Lee Grubbs, and she has voicemail audio to prove it.

She got paid $150,000 by US Weekly for the information, which is probably nothing compared to what Tiger would have paid her to keep her mouth shut. Here's the alleged Tiger Woods voicemail transcript:

Hey it's Tiger, I need you to do me a huge favor. Can you please take your name off your phone? My wife went through my phone and may be calling you. So if you can, please take your name off that. Just have it as a number on the voicemail. You got to do this for me. Huge. Quickly. Bye.

As you can see, Tiger is begging Jamie Lee to take her name off her own outgoing voicemail because his wife Elin Woods (or Elin Nordegrin) has been going through his phone, and I assume that means she found dirty text messages from that phone number. I assume she must have complied with this request because the only way this information got out was after the whole Rachel Uchitel thing, Tiger was thrust into the limelight.

I think it's pretty sad that this woman would do something like this to Tiger, but I suppose for $150,000 it would be mighty tempting. We want to hear from you! I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.

Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect.

But no matter how intense curiosity about public figures can be, there is an important and deep principle at stake which is the right to some simple, human measure of privacy. I realize there are some who don’t share my view on that. But for me, the virtue of privacy is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within one’s own family. Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn’t have to mean public confessions.

Whatever regrets I have about letting my family down have been shared with and felt by us alone. I have given this a lot of reflection and thought and I believe that there is a point at which I must stick to that principle even though it’s difficult.

I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology."

Life & Style reports that an audio recording of Tiger Woods having phone sex has been shopped in the past. Writer Ian Halperin tells the magazine, "Two years ago, a woman approached me with an audio file supposedly of Tiger Woods having phone sex. She wanted me to do a story on it. It sounded like him, but I had no proof."

Steamy alleged text messages between Woods and one rumored mistress, Jaimee Grubbs, have already been published, and another batch was released today. The latest is sue of Life & Style has more info. The full press release is below:

During romps with his various mistresses, Tiger Woods "was taking Ambien and drinking," an insider tells Life & Style. After sex, "he definitely went to sleep with these girls," the insider continues. "He must be freaking out about what else could be out there." Celebrity biographer Ian Halperin tells Life & Style, "Two years ago, a woman approached me with an audio file supposedly of Tiger Woods having phone sex. She wanted me to do a story on it. It sounded like him, but I had no proof." If one of Tiger's women does have footage, she could get millions. "A Tiger sex tape could be worth $5 million, possibly as high as $10 million," Steven Hirsch, founder and co-chairman of adult-video company Vivid Entertainment, tells Life & Style.

Since Tiger's affair with Rachel Uchitel (who he was apparently falling for) was exposed, a procession of women have been identified as his lovers.

Among the places they claim to have had sex with the sports superstar are his Florida mansion and a series of hotels - all with security cameras.

At least one of the women (Grubbs) also shot sex videos of romps with other boyfriends, sparking a damage control scramble from Tiger's camp.

Tiger Woods=? Golf Economy

Tiger Woods’ scandal and his retreat might have impact on America's annual $75 billion golf economy.

 

Neal Pilson, former president of CBS Sports and now a sports broadcast consultant, says that Tiger's indefinite leave from competition is affecting TV advertising purchases for 2010 PGA Tour events. Because of the soft economy, advertising inventory for the first half of 2010 wasn't sold out before the Woods scandal erupted on Thanksgiving. Now that Tiger has decided to sit out indefinitely, companies are likely to "wait and see what happens" before making commitments, according to Pilson. "But once Tiger returns, normal golf sponsors will step up."

 

Pilson also says that in 2010 networks could end up making financial adjustments to advertisers who purchased spots for events where Woods was expected to play. "We went through the same thing last year with Tiger's knee surgery," says Pilson. "If ratings come in well below what was expected, adjustments might happen."

 

But Woods's scandal isn't all doom and gloom for TV, even at Golf Channel. The cable network, which just completed the third year of a 15-year deal with the PGA Tour, claims to have been unaffected by Woods's scandal. "We have not seen any impact on advertising sales," says Page Thompson, president of the network. "In fact, we're starting to see improvement on ad sales. We've been signing at a good pace for 2010."

 

Thompson acknowledged that Woods could have a modest negative impact in 2010 depending on how long he stays out of action. "We broadcast 47 Tour events, and Tiger plays in about one third of them," says Thompson. "But long-term, we don't anticipate any impact."

 

While we're sure to see short-term effects for broadcasters, any attempt to measure the long-term impact of the scandal is pure speculation, according to Pilson. The Tour's current TV contract doesn't expire until the end of 2011, and negotiations for the new contract "would be deferred until we know what Woods's plans will be."

 

Tournament organizers are also sure to feel the effect at the gate. When Woods missed half of the 2008 season and the beginning of the 2009 season while recovering from knee surgery, crowds were noticeably smaller at PGA Tour stops that had previously featured Woods. For instance, attendance at the 2009 Buick Invitational, played at Torrey Pines in February without Woods, was down 30 percent compared to 2008, according to Tom Wilson, the tournament director.

 

But will Woods's absence cast an economic pall over the entire golf industry? Will 26-handicappers stop taking lessons and going on golf vacations? Will country clubs curtail operations and have layoffs? After speaking with several industry leaders, it seems like the broader golf industry won't live or die with Woods. "The game is bigger than Tiger, regardless of what people might think," said Mike Adams, the director of instruction at Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone, N.J., and a Golf Magazine Top 100 Teacher.

 
 

 

Nobody I spoke with, including Adams, believed that Woods would be away from the game for too long. The consensus was that, barring an unforeseen circumstance, Woods should be back by the Masters in mid-April. Any industry-wide economic ramifications of Woods's hiatus, then, may well be limited to the first part of the year. And, the economy has a much larger influence on golf as a whole than Woods. "The real problem at the club and course level is the economy," Adams said. "We have courses closing all over the place, and it's kind of scary."

 

Despite Woods's unmatched popularity, participation rates in the game have actually been trending down since he turned pro in 1996. According to the latest figures from the National Golf Foundation, rounds played have decreased by six percent over the last decade, dropping to 489 million in 2008 from 518 million in 2000.

 

"Tiger doesn't affect rounds played," says Tom Stine, a co-founder of Golf Datatech, a market research firm. "The average player doesn't care if Tiger's playing. They'll play golf no matter what." To support his point, Stine explains that rounds played in the U.S. were virtually the same for the first 10 months in 2008, when Woods missed months of tournament golf due to knee problems, as they were in the first 10 months of 2009, when Woods played nearly the entire season.

 

Stine, whose company provides research to most equipment makers, also predicted that Tiger's absence won't have a major impact on the golf equipment industry as a whole. "People don't give up an obsession because of one person. If Derek Jeter stopped playing baseball, would kids stop signing up for Little League?"

 

Most industry experts interviewed for this article agreed that the economic impact will not be a long-term issue. They expected Woods to be back on Tour and winning sooner rather than later. As soon as that happens, especially at the majors, things should return to normal.

 

"Every sport has black eyes," Adams said. "When Tiger gets close to Nicklaus's record, everybody will be back to watching Tiger. Then, everything happening now will be a moot point."

As a youngster, Tiger Woods would tape a list of Jack Nicklaus’ major victories on his bedroom wall. He knew from a young age that he was chasing Jack. Tiger was focusing on being the greatest golfer ever. He has become the greatest golfer of his day. There is still a little work left to be done to supplant Jack as the greatest of all time.

Tiger should be trying to copy Jack in another area. Tiger would do well to emulate Jack Nicklaus the parent, not the golfer.

Jack Nicklaus is the greatest golfer ever. He is also one of the greatest parents in professional sports. I know that there are thousands of athletes that are wonderful parents, but no other athlete in sport has excelled and dominated his sport as Nicklaus has, while at the same time raising a family.
